Received word at the end of last week that our PAINTS NS grants are approved so the Visual Arts 10 and 11 classes in B327 with have a local artist each coming in to do a fabulous workshop with them. More info. will be provided as we get closer to that time...
Curriculum night is Thursday the 20th from 7:05-8:00 pm and March Break is three weeks away ;) Welcome students to 2nd semester!
I've just finished applying for PAINTS grants to hopefully have local artists come in and work with each of my new classes (a brand new crop of 90+ students); stay tuned for more info. ALSO our ArtsSmarts grant to build an ART LAB in conjunction with the the visual arts 11 class, Kennedy's Oceans class c-block + 15 grade eleven and twelve students that have been prepped as a skills-leadership team is ready to roll shortly. App. 75 students will be involved with this massive art installation. Ms. Perry is planning our 2nd semester schedule with the ArtsSmarts artist, Melissa Marr, this weekend.
