An art teacher for over 20 years, teaching all levels from P-12, including some children's summer art camps, adult oil painting classes, teaching teachers to draw (the basics), and illustrating school science magazines and experiments. I've taught at Cole Harbour District High School, Nelson Whynder Elementary, substituted at numerous inner-city and county schools, taught Continuing Education classes at Sir Robert Borden, 7-12 art at Musquodoboit Rural High School, and now, Halifax West High School. I've trained in International Baccalaureate Visual Arts and taught that program for three years at CHDHS.
I've had the pleasure of seeing many of my students go on to study art as well as have kept in touch with those who now make their living in the arts community.
I am an alumni of NSCAD U. with my degree in Art Education. I went back to study my master's degree there and am currently working on a diploma from CBU in educational technology.
